Florida Attractions

Florida is truly the “Vacation capital of the World” a perfect holiday destination for all the family - something to please everyone from world class  roller coasters to fantastic beaches to relax on. The weather in Florida is excellent all year round enabling you the opportunity to enjoy all the fantastic attractions. Florida’s main attraction is Walt Disney World which is split into 4 major different parks each one catering for everyone !

Disney Magic Kingdom

This is the largest of the Disney parks, to enter the park you travel either by monorail or ferry from the main parking area. Upon your arrival at the main gates to Magic Kingdom you will be greeted by the sight of the spires of Cinderella's castle – if this is your first visit to MK then it simply blows your mind ! There are many different areas in the Magic kingdom to explore each with a new exciting experience. There are water rides, roller coasters, haunted house and live shows and so much more. At 3 o’clock there is a magical parade through the streets of magic kingdom then as the day draws to an end there is a night time parade and then finally the fantastic firework displays. One day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom will never be enough.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is Disney's newest adventure park and is filled with the natural drama of life in the wild. Here you can have thrilling encounters with animals from real life and experience them close up. Again you can visit different countries and lands. The latest addition to Disney's Animal Kingdom is Asia, which showcases the exotic wildlife and lush rain forests of the continent's southern region. The live shows are not to be missed in the animal kingdom. At present they are in the process of building a large roller coaster called Everest. Again this park has something for everyone fast rides, roller coasters and water rides.

Disney - Epcot

Epcot is a two-part educational and cultural attraction designed to challenge the mind and satisfy the senses. In the morning you can visit the countries of the world from Canada to China and in the afternoon visit the future and the newest ride Soaring a must for everyone.

Disney - MGM Studios

Disney-MGM Studios allows visitors to see Disney animators creating wonderful characters and explains movie-making on an entertaining back lot tour. There are rides for all the family both young and old. Then you can go to visit ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ have you the luck to make it to the hot spot. The live shows here are a must once again.

Florida has some simply fantastic water parks,  you have a choice of two really,

Disney - Typhoon Lagoon

This has a ship and a lazy stream to float around in – you Will have a great day here – but equally so at

Disney - Blizzard Beach

This is a water park set in a snow design !!!

Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex

Want to check out the Baseball amongst many other great sporting events here at the Wide World of Sports

Sea World is a wonderful place to spend a day. There are lots of shows to see all with Dolphins, Sea lions and Walrus’s. The highlight of a visit to Sea World is the "Shamu’s" show during which killer whales interact with trainers with high jumps and spectacular stunts and with a flick of the tail the first fourteen rows get absolutely soaked. This show is also performed at night which should not be missed it is followed by the night time show “Mistify”

Busch Gardens is near Tampa about an hours ride from Orlando. This park is full of animals and is one of the most prestigious zoos in the US with lots of high speed thrill rides, shopping and dining.

If you fancy a trip to the see something really different then a trip to the Kennedy Space Centre is a must especially if the space shuttle is due to launch.

Kennedy Space Center is located at Cape Canaveral some 50 miles east of Orlando on the Atlantic coast, there are dozens of exhibits and demonstrations on space exploration. Astronaut Hall of Fame which honors the first 20 Americans in space through demonstrations, exhibitions, artifacts and mementos of space flight is also in the same area.

For the experience of a life time then Discovery Cove is the place for you.

Have you every wanted to swim with a dolphin, feed a dolphin or just touch a dolphin then this is the place for you. Discovery cove permits only a 1000 visitors each day (book early to avoid disappointment) so the park is never too busy and you are given an allotted time for your swim with the dolphins. The feeling of swimming with the Dolphins is one never to be repeated and one not to missed.

If you have a spare half day then Gatorland is well worth a visit. Here you can watch alligator wrestling and many other alligator displays all at a safe distance !! If you feel brave you can have your picture taken with an alligator. There is plenty to do here and the kids will just love the day.

Universal is just wonderful if you like great rides, superb shows and ET ! Be sure to check out Universal Studios and Islands of adventure.
